We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic veterinary pathologist to join our team of board-certified veterinary pathologists and investigation officers, based in our £11m purpose built state-of-the-art Veterinary Pathology Centre based in Guildford, Surrey.

You will have an interest in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, you will have a veterinary degree registrable with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) and be Board certified (or near to completion) in Veterinary Anatomic Pathology achieved by examination (FRCPath, ACVP or ECVP). You will have excellent communication skills, an appetite for innovative teaching and diagnostics and be able to work well in a team. You will be supported by a team of veterinary surgeons, board-certified pathologists, scientists and skilled technical staff.

You will be part of a team delivering the pathology component of the Surrey veterinary curriculum. In addition, you will provide diagnostic pathology support to the veterinary community, and you will also have the opportunity to work with experts from world class veterinary practices, institutes and government agencies through our many collaborative partnerships.

This is an exciting opportunity in helping shape the University’s veterinary education programmes and to further develop the area of veterinary diagnostic pathology at Surrey.

In return, we offer a generous pension scheme and annual leave entitlement, along with fantastic career developmental opportunities. In addition, you will be supported in gaining the academic Post Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching.

For informal enquiries please contact Professor Roberto La Ragione (r.laragione@surrey.ac.uk), Head of the department of Pathology and Infectious Diseases and Director of the Surrey Veterinary Pathology Centre.
