Associate Dean - Research and Enterprise
Staffordshire Business School
Salary £65,362 - £69,330
Staffordshire University is on a journey to become the foremost modern higher education institution in the UK, with an international reputation for excellence, and we are looking for inspirational and effective people to take us to the next stage.
In recent years we have become a leader in computer gaming, the first university in the country to offer Esports, and a pioneer in offering accelerated degrees that break the mould of traditional delivery.
Our transformation has been externally recognised: in 2018 we broke in to the World University rankings for the first time and were named as a top 50 UK university by the Guardian. The quality of our student experience has placed us in the top 10 for teaching quality in the Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018.
We are driven by our values: they underpin everything we do and our colleagues live our values every day. We are daring, curious and proud of our region and people.
We have set ourselves ambitious research goals to go alongside our student-focussed aims, including: to triple our research income; increase our international research collaborations; and grow our numbers of PhD researchers. To achieve this, we are making significant investments in our research and researchers.
We are seeking an Associate Dean - Research and Enterprise for Staffordshire Business School to work with our researchers, and the School and University’s senior management to drive forwards our research and enterprise agenda.
Our Stoke-on-Trent campus is a few minutes’ walk from the train station, which is about 45 minutes from Birmingham and 40 from Manchester. We are a university of and for our community: local, national and global. If you share our values and have the skills to deliver our vision, we want to hear from you.
For an informal conversation about the role, contact Dr Tim Horne, Director of Research, on 07584 460785
