School Research Manager

The School of Education, Communication and Society is seeking to recruit an experienced research administrator to take on the post of School Research Manager. 

The post is both operational and strategic, and includes some line management. The role holder will provide in-person support for academic staff with research grant submissions and will play a key role in sustaining the research environment of the School. Liaising with officers and offices across the Faculty and School, they will be responsible for the administrative support for the development and submission of the Unit of Assessment (UoA) for Education in the next Research Excellence Framework (REF), which is situated in the School.

In the last REF, the School's UoA was ranked 2nd out of 76 UK Departments of Education for the overall quality of its research.

This post will be offered on an indefinite contract.

This is a full time post - 100% full time equivalent.

The selection process will include a panel interview and a presentation.
