We have a full time opportunity for a Research Fellow ($92,575 - $109,233), or part time if preferred, to join our world- leading University based at either the Townsville or Cairns campus. 

What you will accomplish

Take the next step in your research career, as we support you in a role that has the scope to develop your unique research interests whilst having a significant impact on improving healthcare systems.

You will rapidly develop your research portfolio as you work within multi-disciplinary teams to support research design, data analysis and interpretation of findings that will help to inform the policy, design, delivery and evaluation of health services in diverse communities across northern Queensland and further afield.

About You

You are a motivated and capable early or mid-career researcher with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • applied economics or health economics;
  • applied econometrics (including analysis of big data), and
  • data science (including coding, (bio)statistical analysis, and/or decision modelling).

It is essential to have either prior experience in, or a keen interest in building a career based around research projects with a health focus that have the capacity to deliver translatable outcomes including improvements to healthcare systems and population health.
