We’re seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated scientist to join our group to work on an international collaboration in computational chemistry. The project, funded by the US Department of Energy, involves a collaboration between Prof Fred Manby (University of Bristol) and Profs Tom Miller and Garnet Chan (California Institute of Technology).

The overall focus of the programme is to develop new computational frameworks for ab initio molecular dynamics beyond DFT. Specific activities for this role include development of combinations of quantum embedding with molecular dynamics, collaboratively working on applications in clean energy through light harvesting and nuclear fusion.

The project will involve working with a large team of scientists on the entos software project, and supporting other group members in aligned research activities. Further information on the project is available on request.
