Position Summary
A postdoctoral fellow position is available in the McKinlay Lab in the Department of Biology at Indiana University (http://www.indiana.edu/~mckinlab/).
The position will be supported through a National Science Foundation CAREER award. The goal of the project is to determine how bacterial subpopulations engaged in nutrient cross-feeding are influenced by mechanisms that bacteria use to control their location, such as motility and adherence. Both experimental and theoretical approaches will be used.
The Department of Biology has a vibrant intellectual atmosphere and excellent facilities for conducting microbiological research (http://www.bio.indiana.edu/). Postdocs will have ample opportunity to interact and collaborate with other labs.
