The King's Centre for Military Health Research (KCMHR) would like to invite applications for an experienced full time Post-doctoral Research Associate (or individual's very close to completion of their PhD), or individual with significant experience of working with the military, who is suitably experienced and academically minded to work on an initiative designed to promote proactive management of mental fitness within the Armed Forces community. Using mixed-methods, the post-holder will evaluate the acceptability and feasibility of this mental fitness initiative and military personnel's experiences and opinions during its pilot roll-out stage. This will consist of interviews and focus groups with the military personnel involved and key stakeholders, alongside assessment of the attitudes of mental fitness before and after the program to identify any derived benefits/improvements.
The post holder will be responsible for the day to day coordination of the study including participant recruitment and conducting qualitative interviews and obtaining quantitative data. The post holder will be involved from the start of the project. Further the post holder will be responsible for analysing the quantitative and qualitative data and writing up the findings for scientific publication and a report for the funding body.
This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for 12 months.
This is a full-time post - 100% full time equivalent.
The selection process will include a panel interview and a presentation.
Grade and Salary : £31,883 - £39,484 per annum inclusive of London Allowance
