Professor/Associate Professor (Practice Track) in Real Estate and Urban Planning

The Department of Real Estate, School of Design and Environment (SDE), The National University of Singapore (NUS) invites applications for non-tenurable full-time Professor/ Associate Professor on the Practice Track, starting from July 2019.

The Department aspires to advance holistic knowledge of real estate and urban development for sustainable and inclusive urbanization in Asia through innovative research and teaching. The Department has an excellent research track record and connection with global research communities in real estate, urban economics and city planning. Strong research support is provided by NUS Institute of Real Estate and Urban Studies (IREUS) and we offer competitive remuneration and other benefits. We seek candidates with expertise in broad areas relating to urban and real estate economics, real estate finance and investment and urban planning, those with backgrounds in environmental planning and urban development, and public policy are also encouraged to apply.

Candidates should possess a degree with at least 10 or more years of practice experience in a senior management or chief executive position; a distinguished leader in the profession.

Staff members appointed on the Practice Track are expected to contribute to teaching at undergraduate and/or graduate levels, faculty development, and service, and complement the research efforts of the School where appropriate. They are also expected to contribute significantly to the outreach activities of the School. These include executive education and collaboration with relevant institutions.
