Applications are invited for appointment as Non-Tenure Track Clinical Professor of Practice in the Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine (Ref.: 494212), to commence in mid 2019, on a two- to three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.  Fractional appointment may be considered for suitable candidate.

Applicants should possess a medical qualification registrable with the Medical Council of Hong Kong, and a higher professional qualification of Specialty Fellowship of the relevant Hong Kong college under the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine or equivalent.  They should have an outstanding track record of clinical services in intensive care/critical care medicine, especially in Paediatrics ICU and Neonatal ICU settings. They should also demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching, and be able to contribute to the enhancement and development of courses in the Faculty in a broad spectrum of medical and health sciences education.  Proven capacity and potential in conducting research in their respective field(s) would be an advantage.  Direct communication with patients is required and the languages employed are English, Cantonese and Putonghua.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 15% of basic salary.  A monthly cash allowance will be offered to the successful candidate.   Housing benefits will also be provided as applicable.
