The role and your responsibilities

The School of Health and Biomedical Sciences at RMIT University is recruiting an experienced administrator to be responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the clinic reception area for its student-led Health Sciences Clinic based at University Hill in Bundoora.

The Clinic Receptionist is responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the clinic reception area and for providing administrative support. The role has a strong customer service orientation and performs a key role as front of house for the health clinic and in the efficient delivery of administrative services.

Responsibilities include greeting patients and handling their enquiries, appointments and payments and providing support across a range of administrative activities related to the clinic functions.

Skills and experience required

The ideal candidate will bring to the role previous Health clinic reception experience, experience in IntraHealth Profile will also be highly regarded. Your excellent customer service orientation with a high level of professionalism will be critical to your success in this role. Furthermore, you will demonstrate problem solving skills and ability to critically analyse situations and recommend solutions.

The role requires availability on Saturday and work outside of normal business hours. This role is to ensure Clinic requirements are met within periods of staff shortages such as staff absences and peak periods at the Clinic and may require the candidate to be available at short notice.
