As a researcher with the Consortium for Policy Research in Education (CPRE), lead and participate in team efforts to design and conduct research projects pertaining to early care and education (including proposal development, research design, protocol development, qualitative data collection, qualitative analyses, and report writing); develop literature reviews; project development (including participation in grant writing and developing relationships with and presenting proposals to potential funders); oversee project management, including managing significant segments of research projects; supervise research and support staff; establish good working relationships with research partners, research sites, and affiliated organizations; prepare reports for funders and articles for publication; coordinate research with other CPRE researchers; represent CPRE at meetings and conferences and present research findings. Must have strong writing and qualitative research skills with (with mixed methods a plus) and experience conducting research in the social sciences. This position will require some travel. A doctorate or equivalent is required. Entails some client management and staff supervision. Position contingent upon continued funding.

Highly advanced professional discipline. Ph. D, Ed.D, or equivalent doctoral degree and 1 year to 2 years or master’s degree and 3-5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Knowledge and experience with qualitative research design, analysis techniques, and software packages are integral. Excellent writing and communication skills are essential. Must be proficient using Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Past experience as an education practitioner is a plus.
