Fixed Term
Post Type:      Full Time
Closing Date:      Thursday 25 April 2019

Applications are invited for a full-time Research Fellow to work with Dr. Ian Morris as part of the project "Lower bounds for Lyapunov exponents" funded by the Leverhulme Trust. This project deals with various topics around dominated splittings, Lyapunov exponents of random matrix products and the ergodic theory of linear cocycles.

The successful candidate will have (or will be in the process of completing) a PhD in ergodic theory, dynamical systems or a closely related area, and may have additional postdoctoral experience.

Candidates with previous experience of working on linear cocycles or random walks on linear groups are especially welcome, but strong candidates without such experience are also encouraged to apply.

The post carries no teaching or administrative duties. There are generous funds available under the project for attending conferences and conducting research visits.
