Role Description

The post holder requires effective communication and influencing skills including negotiation, persuasion and empathising skills. The post holder is required to communicate effectively with researchers, technicians, support staff, students, and customers. 

The post holder will have a PhD related to Energetic Materials Research (or nearing completion) and significant experience in working with energetic materials either from industrial or academic exposure.

Significant  experience applying analytical skills and techniques, such as differential scanning calorimetry, thermogravimetric analysis, single crystal and powder x-ray diffraction, density analysis, particle size analysis, infra-red and ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry is essential. 

Membership of appropriate professional bodies (RSC) is desirable.
