The Estates and Facilities Directorate provides a number of essential services to Durham University and are responsible for managing, maintaining and developing the infrastructure and building fabric across the estate.
It is an exciting time to join the team, as we are currently in Phase One of a three-phase programme, running until 2027, to deliver a new estate; supporting the University’s overarching strategy, with the design and construction of new teaching, leisure and accommodation facilities, alongside the repair and refurbishments to the existing infrastructure and buildings.
We currently have two opportunities for Senior Project Managers to join our existing team.
The Senior Project Manager will provide a total service in connection with the evaluation, planning, co-ordination, procurement, execution, and timely occupation of individual new build, infrastructure, remodelling and refurbishments projects within the University’s overall development plan.
The post-holder will ensure compliance, at all stages of a project, with Estates Project Procedures, Good Practice, National Audit Office and Funding Council requirements, and other internal University guidelines; value for money and fitness for purpose.
