The Faculty of Engineering and Environment is committed to the applications and principles of Science and Technology in all its forms and strives to be excellent in research, teaching and innovation.

Working within the Department of Mathematics, Physics and Electrical Engineering you will contribute to an area of electrical engineering.  The department has particular strengths in communications engineering, and electrical power engineering.  Applications are encouraged from excellent candidates with expertise in digital electronic design including verlilog or VHDL, or in electrical power systems, renewable energy, or grid integration.  A willingness to conduct short periods of teaching overseas in China, Malaysia and Singapore would be a requirement of the post.

You must hold a first degree and it is desirable that you should be either qualified or soon to be qualified to Doctoral level in a relevant discipline, and have subject expertise in Electrical Engineering with specialist knowledge gained through research activity, professional practice or consultancy. Proven ability to deliver high quality teaching within an appropriate field is essential. Membership (or eligibility for membership) of a relevant professional body is desirable.
