Job description

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to an ESRC funded study (ES/S005471/1) 'Learning from Domestic Homicide Reviews using Experience Based Co-Design'. It is a national study, which involves retrieving and analysing domestic homicide reviews, a systematic literature search, sensitive topic interviews as well as an innovative approach to take findings directly to policy makers and practitioners and co-producing improvements to prevent future domestic homicides.

The study is based in the Connect Centre for International Research on Interpersonal Violence and Harm, School of Social Work, Care and Community at UCLan. We are appointing a Quantitative Research Associate to work on the study, focussing on statistical analysis: descriptive and inferential with experience of utilising statistical packages. However, a willingness to contribute to qualitative analysis is also required and knowledge of interpersonal violence is desirable. The post holder will join a team of experienced researchers from two universities, led by Dr Khatidja Chantler.

A postgraduate degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminology or a related field is essential. The successful candidate will have the ability to contribute to the development of the study and to coordinate its implementation. Evidence of excellent organisation skills with proven ability to prioritise and meet deadlines is therefore essential. Excellent data analysis and writing skills, IT skills as well as the ability to work cooperatively within a team are essential.
