Role Description

Cranfield University is a world-renowned, exclusively postgraduate University. The International Partnerships and Student Recruitment (IPSR) function has been established to provide an excellent service to all our stakeholders. IPSR ensures that audience needs are served ‘end to end’, supporting colleagues within the University to deliver a creative, efficient and effective service that places customers at the heart of the operation.

We are seeking to appoint a talented and dynamic individual to come and join us at Cranfield University as an International Development Manager. As one of the UK’s top five research intensive universities and only wholly postgraduate university focused on science, technology, engineering and management, this is a key role which will contribute to the development and implementation of the University’s strategic aims. You will be leading on expanding our high quality international student recruitment and deepening existing relationships to strengthen the University’s international profile.

The University aims to be renowned for its impact and influence - regionally, nationally and internationally. To achieve this aim the International Development and Recruitment team within IPSR is responsible for developing, informing and delivering the University’s international and student recruitment strategy. You will have plenty of experience in international student recruitment and will know how to attract and engage high quality international students from a range of markets. You will represent the University internationally, contribute to the University’s innovative and effective internationalisation strategy, raising its international brand and profile and be a key member of the team responsible for the achievement of the University’s targets for international student recruitment. You will also be able to demonstrate success in developing and managing effective international networks and external relationships as well as being a skilled diplomat with deep cultural awareness.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have excellent communication and networking skills being comfortable identifying, researching and building relationships across a range of stakeholders including students, local representatives, Government organisations, partners, alumni and sponsorship bodies. You will be fluent in French and/or Spanish. You will be experienced in higher education international student recruitment and you should be used to working to meet tight deadlines in a pressurised customer focussed environment.
