The University of Melbourne’s Faculty of Business and Economics is looking for a data savvy individual to support the collection of data to support its AACSB and EQUIS accreditation activities, and increasingly other reporting and management requirements.

In this role you will have three broad responsibilities:

As administrator of Sedona (the database we use to support accreditation) you will be directly responsible for data quality checking and maintenance of complete, secure, relevant and accurate data in the database, together with other data as required for reporting, accreditation and rankings.

As responsibility for data quality remains the responsibility of data owners (e.g. Faculty departments, professional services units), you will be the support for Sedona users in the Faculty, running training sessions, leading the Sedona user’s group, and developing and maintaining support documentation.

With the University increasingly moving to a more sophisticated and integrated approach to using data, the Data Wrangler, will play a leading role in supporting the Faculty utilise data captured in Sedona to support business improvement activity beyond accreditation.

To succeed in this role you will have a sharp attention for detail, an ability to understand how data supports broader operational needs and strong relationship skills that allow you to influence and collaborate so as to take colleagues and peers on a data journey.
