The University of Bristol IT Services division is expanding its Projects team and are seeking an experienced project manager to provide additional project management support for current and emerging projects within IT.

You will be responsible for planning and managing the delivery of complex projects within agreed parameters of cost, timescale and quality. You will provide supplier management, establish aims and objectives required to deliver business benefit, and work with technical staff to satisfy project stakeholders.

You will have a significant number of years’ relevant experience, including experience of a large, complex public sector or similar environment. You will have a strong general project background, well-proven project management skills, a sound knowledge of project management tools and methodologies gained on strategically important, multi-faceted, complex and high-profile projects. You’ll be committed to ensuring that results are planned and delivered with the full engagement and commitment of all staff. You will also be able to collate, analyse and report on a range of data for a range of audiences.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to work with a wide range of staff in a rapidly changing environment are essential. Experience of delivering and implementing systems and/or online solutions would be advantageous.

The successful candidate will become part of the Projects team reporting directly into the Head of Projects in IT services. Both roles will work with IT technical staff to drive forward multiple projects within the division.
