Salary: £23,334 to £27,830 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

Based in the University’s sector leading Careers and Employability Service, the Marketing and Communications Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing annual marketing and communications plans to support the University’s wider strategy for careers and employability.
The role holder will work closely with the University’s External Relations team to raise the profile of careers and employability events and services. By increasing student awareness and engagement across all levels of service, this will support the University’s engagement with graduate recruiters. The post holder will develop, direct and manage content for digital and social media channels and wider marketing collateral to support the priorities of the Careers and Employability Service.
Successful candidates will have significant experience of working in a marketing role within a large organisation or higher education institution. An understanding of the careers and employability agenda within higher education is essential. You should possess excellent copywriting and communications skills, have experience of working closely with multiple stakeholders, be creative and experienced in managing social media and digital channels, (including a blog), and be comfortable working to strict deadlines across multiple projects.
This full-time post is fixed-term post until 17 January 2020.
