Applications are invited for a postdoctoral Research Associate position in the School of Cardiovascular Medicine & Sciences within the Faculty of Life Sciences and Medicine at King's College London.

The post holder will report to Professor Catherine Shanahan and will perform research investigating the role of exosomes in vascular smooth muscle cell (VSMC) biology focusing on how exosome secretion is linked to VSMC migration, proliferation and ECM remodelling. The candidate should have experience in exosome biology including isolation, quantification and characterisation by flow cytometry. 

Experience in Confocal and Super-resolution microscopy as well as image analysis is highly desirable. The successful candidate will join a research group within the BHF Centre of Research Excellence which provides an excellent highly multidisciplinary environment with state-of-the-art equipment and facilities.

Candidates should have, or be about to obtain a PhD in Biological sciences or a related discipline.

This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for 17 months.

This is a full-time (35 hours per week) - 100% full time equivalent
