The student recruitment teams at Royal Holloway play a pivotal role in promoting Royal Holloway and its programmes. In particular the Schools and Colleges Liaison team work with students and schools in key geographical regions to support prospective students in their higher education journey. This entails inviting schools and colleges to campus as well as visiting individual institutions to deliver a range of talks and activities.
We are seeking to recruit a Schools and Colleges Administrative Assistant to provide crucial clerical support to the team. This is a varied and busy role which will combine regular contact with our partner schools and maintenance of administrative processes with creative ad-hoc projects and effectively managing stock. You will also be asked on occasion to represent Royal Holloway at higher education fairs.
Your involvement, engagement and commitment to the team is fundamental to the long term achievement of our objectives. As such we are looking for a person who can demonstrate a range of administrative skills as well as attention to detail and exemplary customer service. Your ability to effectively juggle tasks, work independently and your willingness to be flexible when needed, will see you quickly becoming an essential member of the team.
Primarily an office based role, this position would suit someone returning to work or a person with administration experience who is looking to enter the higher education sector. If you have an excellent understanding of, and prior experience of working in, a professional administrative setting, with proven communications skills, a commitment to excellent customer service and an ability to handle complex processes in a fast-moving and lively environment, we would like to hear from you. An appreciation of what higher education promises prospective students and an understanding of the university application process is advantageous, although training will be given in these areas.
