Special Research Scientist in Epidemiology
Part-time contract - 9 months (April 2019 – December 2019, 120 hours/month)
The Medical School of the University of Cyprus invites applications for one (1) Special Research Scientist position for the programme “Monitoring, Evaluating and Reviewing of Health Services, Patient Satisfaction and Employee Engagement in the National Health System of Cyprus”.
The aim of the project is to conduct secondary analyses of data on Health Services Utilization, and surveys on employee engagement and patient satisfaction in the Public Health System of Cyprus.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Management of health-related data Analysis of health related-data
Development and application of new methodologies to health-related data collection, management, analysis, and interpretation Writing of reports.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Doctoral degree in Epidemiology or in Biostatistics or in Public Health or in Health Services Management or in Clinical Trials or in another related field.
Background in Health Sciences or in Mathematics or in another related field.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Experience in programming and using statistical software Experience in health-related studies
Very good knowledge of English (written and verbal)
Ability to work and cooperate with local and/or international research teams. Applicants do not necessarily need to be citizens of the Republic of Cyprus.
The position is available on a contract basis for 9 months (April 2019 – December 2019). The monthly salary for the part-time position (120 hours/per month) is 2379 euros (cost of employer). Employee and employer contributions will be deducted from this amount. The position does not include a 13th salary.
