Role Description

Cranfield is an exclusively postgraduate university that is a global leader for education and transformational research in technology and management, with close links to industry and business.

We work closely with our active and influential network of alumni and friends around the globe. These are people who all share a strong connection with Cranfield University and have the power to make a difference through philanthropy, and the Alumni Relations and Development team is in the privileged position of helping to build relationships within the Cranfield community.

The Regular Giving Executive will be responsible for overseeing the administration of philanthropic gifts to the university, helping to create processes and procedures. This includes donor stewardship correspondence, such as recording gifts, generating acknowledgement letters and compiling donor lists. The role holder will also assist in the preparation for fundraising campaigns, including data segmentation, liaising with external vendors and preparing letter and envelope templates. In addition, they will conduct monthly checks and audits of donations, quarterly Gift Aid claims and annual financial disbursement calculations and reports to help ensure that donations are collected and designated to the correct projects at the end of the year.

Success in this role requires positivity, energy, organisation and attention to detail. You will have the ability to interact with donors and other alumni with sensitivity, diplomacy and discretion. You will be educated to A Level standard or equivalent. You will have excellent written, verbal communication and numerical skills, as well as excellent Microsoft Office skills, ideally with some experience of a good customer relationship. Experience and understanding of the higher education or charity sectors would be an advantage.
