The Education Portfolio is headed by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education and Vice President who leads the planning and implementation of the University's strategies related to RMIT's academic programs and the RMIT student experience. The Portfolio is responsible for services to support the quality of RMIT programs, including the professional development of academic staff, continuous improvement of the student experience, learning and teaching outcomes and the management of learning and research information sources

The Role & Your Responsibilities

The Administrative Advisor is responsible for the management and coordination of the delivery of key administrative tasks relating to the Communication, marketing and distribution of the 'mass' December graduation mailouts to students. The Administrative Advisor is responsible for providing accurate information and advice to graduating students and RMIT staff regarding graduation processes. You are expected to deal with complex queries - citing existing policies, procedures and guidelines where necessary and demonstrate negotiation and strong communication skills to resolve issues.

Skills & Experience Required

In line with this role, we are seeking an ambitious applicant that has a proven ability to foster strong working relationships and to work independently and as part of a team. You can manage and resolve conflict and issues effectively towards positive outcomes. Important to this role will be your proven ability to manage workflows and competing priorities, including ability to work under pressure. In addition, you have sound knowledge of exams and graduations policies and procedures.
