Division of the Vice Provost for University Life (VPUL) is Penn’s foremost provider of student services and educational access. The Program Coordinator will provide administrative support for the Pan-Asian American Community House (PAACH) staff and for the administrative/programmatic functions of the cultural resource center. The purpose of this position is meant to provide administrative support with scheduling and organizing activities, meeting organization (in-person, videoconferencing and other), organizing and processing reimbursement requests, manage correspondence and documents, drafting letters and other reports, and assist with overall organization preparation.

Required:

A High School Diploma and 5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Associates degree or higher and 3 years or more of related experience preferred. Excellent PC skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint; excellent oral & written communications skills; excellent organizational skills; demonstrated ability to handle sensitive, confidential, and difficult situations with tact and diplomacy; excellent customer service skills; knowledge of academic environment, particularly University of Pennsylvania, highly preferred.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor of Arts plus 2-5 years previous administrative experience.
  • Ability to operate with moderate instruction and supervision.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills that allow anticipation of requirements and potential problems.
  • Excellent PC skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, HTML, etc.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to handle prioritize and task manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Interest in supporting and advising students.
  • Professional presence, enthusiasm with a positive outlook and can-do attitude; Ability to work with individuals at all levels, both internal and external.
  • Willingness to work extended hours/schedules as needed.
