The subject of this project is to study how the intrinsic properties of the 2D materials can be maintained or even improved when interfacing the materials with surfaces, interfaces, and with surfactant molecules. The studies will be carried out in close collaboration with experimental groups in Karlsruhe and in Seoul, Korea.

Requirements: university degree (M.Sc., Dipl.) in Chemistry, Physics or related fields; interest in Theoretical Chemistry; knowledge of density-functional theory and/ or the properties of two-dimensional materials is an advantage.
