Boston University’s College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences: Sargent College seeks a dynamic and creative faculty member to join its internationally recognized Department of Occupational Therapy. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, tenure-track. Primary responsibilities will include teaching in the graduate programs in occupational therapy and doctoral program in rehabilitation sciences, as well as engaging in an active program of independent research. 

The Department of Occupational Therapy is housed on the main campus of Boston University in the College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences: Sargent College. The department offers an undergraduate degree in Behavior and Health; both entry-level and post-professional Occupational Therapy Doctorate programs; and participates in the interdisciplinary PhD program in Rehabilitation Sciences. The internationally recognized Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation is also affiliated with the department. Our program is ranked #1 by US News & World Report and our faculty are internationally known for their contributions to occupational therapy research and scholarship and leadership in education and professional service. We have a highly collaborative environment that also includes faculty from diverse interest areas within Sargent as well as across the University. In addition, the Boston area includes many highly regarded health care and educational institutions and offers numerous opportunities for interdisciplinary work.
