Job Description

The laboratory in the department of Dermatology at Boston University School of Medicine focuses on epigenetics and therapeutic target development for melanoma and skin diseases using a chemical genetics approach. We sought to a junior research technician for performing scientific experiments as well as general laboratory maintenances.  Scientific responsibilities require the following laboratory skills: conventional molecular biology techniques (western blot and immunoprecipitation, molecular cloning, and PCR analysis), cell culture, histology and immunohistochemistry, and animal handling. Required Skills

Bachelor’s degree in the biological sciences is required. Previous experience with molecular biology and/or animal handling techniques preferred, but the desire to learn new skills is most important. The candidate should be able to work in a research team environment as well as individually.
