Robens - Occupational Health & Safety

Location:      Guildford
Salary:      £32,236 to £39,609 per annum
Permanent
Post Type:      Full Time
Closing Date:      Monday 18 March 2019
Interview Date:      Thursday 04 April 2019

The Robens Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (the Robens) is an enterprise unit of the University of Surrey and we operate as a small Occupational Health (OH) service provider to many exciting and diverse customers including the University of Surrey, further and higher education organisations, and other small to medium sized companies. In addition we have a successful Travel Health clinic that provides services to business and leisure travellers.

We currently have an opportunity for an Occupational Health Nurse to join our small team in delivering high quality occupational health.

The post requires drive, enthusiasm and an ability to be able to work autonomously delivering a wide range of screening and occupational health activities while supporting the Occupational Health Advisors who act as key account managers. The clinical team is led and supported by the Clinical Director.

This is a full time position working Monday – Friday between the hours of 09.30 – 17.30.

An ability to deliver travel health advice and travel vaccinations is desirable, but not essential.

Key elements of the role include pre-employment assessment, vaccinations for healthcare workers and health surveillance activities. Due to the nature of the work there is a requirement for infrequent travel across Surrey and north Hampshire.

An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check is an essential requirement of the role.

The University of Surrey is amongst the highest achieving universities in the United Kingdom, having been awarded the Times/ Sunday Times University of the Year Award for 2016. We are ranked 10th in The Times Higher Education Table of Tables for UK universities in 2017, and we are the recipient of four Queen’s Anniversary Prizes.

In addition to a competitive salary you will receive 32 days annual leave / closure days and a great benefits package including pension and discounted membership to our world-renowned Surrey Sports Park.
