Applications are invited for appointment as Full-time/Part-time Lecturer (holding the title of Expert Trainer) in the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref.: 494206), to commence as soon as possible, until December 31, 2021.
The appointee will work in the Jockey Club End-of-Life Community Care Project (JCECC) under the Faculty of Social Sciences. The project, started at 2015, aimed at improving the quality of end-of-life care, enhancing the capacity of service providers, as well as raising public awareness on life and death issues.
Applicants should possess a good Master’s degree or above in Nursing, Social Work, Mental Health, Psychology, Behavioral Health, Counseling or related discipline, with at least 5 years’ solid experience in conducting professional training for medical and/or social work sector on End-of-Life Care (EoLC) and/or public education on EoLC related topics in Hong Kong. Applicants should also possess expert competence including, but not limited to, palliative care, family counseling, use of play, use of therapeutic groups and bereavement care. Having a strong reputation in psycho-social and communication aspects of EoLC and knowledge on online curriculum design and e-learning on EoLC would be an advantage. The appointee is expected to design and conduct specific online teaching programmes on EoLC issues to medical and social work professionals and frontline staff, and perform other duties as assigned.
