Job Summary  

The position will involve studying new physics that arises at the boundary between topologically ordered phases of matter that are enriched by symmetries, and relating that physics to unconventional quantum critical points.  A variety of techniques will be employed, including bosonization, K-matrix theory, renormalization group techniques, and numerical analyses of lattice models. 

Job Duties

  • Scientific discussions with colleagues, analytical and numerical calculations, preparation of talks for scientific conferences, and manuscript preparation

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in physics or equivalent
  • Prior research experience in condensed matter theory research
  • Familiarity with topological phases and novel critical points

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior research experience in areas highlighted in the job summary
