Clinical Research Teaching Fellow

The MRC CNDD is offering an opportunity to undertake research training to doctors (in specialist training in neurology or psychiatry) who are committed to developing their academic research careers.
Placements are offered for 6 - 12 months, to allow candidates protected time to pursue a research project, obtain critical preliminary data for UK fellowship applications, and benefit from expert supervision, state-of-the-art research facilities and infrastructure across the organisation.
The MRC CNDD brings together world leading researchers across King's College London with the mission to identify the biological mechanisms underlying developmental brain disorders. Our goal is to translate this knowledge into clinical advances; focusing on some of the most devastating disorders of the developing brain: epilepsy, autism and schizophrenia.
Our Training Fellowships are designed to provide the time, resources and support to help bridge the gap between current training/employment and further professional and career development in research.
The Fellow will be expected to plan, prepare and in due course, submit an application to an external funding body to continue their research training (e.g. through a 3-year Clinician Training Fellowship), research grant or other Career Development award.
Candidates should demonstrate their eligibility to apply for such an award in their applications.
This is a fixed term position, 6 - 12 months in duration
Full time (40 hours per week). Applications for part-time hours will be considered.
The selection process will be a presentation and panel interview.

Grade and Salary : The salary to be paid will be at a rate equivalent to the Doctors in Training salary scale, dependent on your current stage of training. Basic annual salary of £37,142 - £47,132 plus London Allowance of £3,223 per annum
