Responsibilities*
Duties:
Teach violin performance to students from first year through doctoral levels in all curricula in the School of Music, Theater & Dance; recruit students of high caliber; maintain national and international recognition as a performer and teacher; participate in faculty governance responsibilities, attend faculty meetings, and serve on faculty and University committees a appropriate. It is desirable that the appointee perform on campus in solo and chamber music repertory with faculty colleagues.

Required Qualifications*
Thorough knowledge of repertoire for the violin. Sustained and distinguished professional record as a performer and teacher. Commitment to nurturing a broad range of students of diverse identities and experiences. Demonstrated expertise and experience in teaching by having presented master classes, maintained private studios, and/or served as a faculty member at institution(s) of higher learning. Evidence of the ability to recruit and maintain a successful violin studio. Master’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
