The Office of The Dean of Teaching and Learning is expanding its online learning provision within the areas of Critical Skills and Employability. To support this expansion, we seek to appoint an Educational Technologist. The Office requires a self-motivated and technically capable individual to work in partnership with the Critical Skills and Experiential Learning teams to support the development of new and the conversion of existing academic materials into pedagogically sound courses for online and blended delivery.

The post-holder will explore and promote the innovative use of technology to enhance online teaching, feedback, assessment, student engagement and classroom technologies, whilst working in partnership with relevant stakeholders across the University.

Applicants will hold a primary degree and/or relevant experience have a high degree of web literacy and experience of using a range of virtual learning environments and advising academic staff. They will have experience of emerging digital learning technologies and of leading and or/ supporting the learning design of courses using a virtual learning environment.

Purpose

Administrative Officer Grade II Salary Scale: €37,323 - €53,707 p.a. (9 points)

Appointment will be made in accordance with the Department of Finance pay guidelines.

*New entrants to the public sector will be appointed on the first point of the above scale.
