We are seeking high quality candidates to support the GBP 30m+ expansion of our engineering provision at the University of Central Lancashire. Candidates should demonstrate their experience of teaching or professional practice in Electrical Engineering, possess excellent communication skills and a research or industrial background.
The successful candidate for this post will have a good honours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline a Masters Qualification (or equivalent) and a either PhD in a relevant area or be a Chartered Engineer. You should have the ability to teach and supervise up to Masters Level, be IT literate and demonstrate an innovative and flexible approach to learning and teaching.
The role will involve teaching, research and knowledge transfer, contributions to new developments growing out of our existing courses and support for the development / use of distance learning and innovative teaching methods within the School.
The successful candidate will have either prior experience of teaching in higher education environment, or significant experience in a professional electrical engineering role in industry. With a commitment to enhancing students' learning experience and the ability to teach electrical engineering in a building services engineering context and/or electrical power generation and distribution. Experience of development and delivery of teaching materials would be an advantage.
