Established in 1828, the University of Central Lancashire is a leading modern University located in the city of Preston. The School of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences is part of the Faculty of Clinical and Biomedical Sciences, which also includes the Schools of Medicine and Dentistry. The School offers several undergraduate and postgraduate healthcare related degrees including the Master of Pharmacy, which recently received the full six years of GPhC accreditation. The School offers a friendly and supportive learning environment with state of the art teaching and research facilities.
We are seeking to appoint a Professor who will help lead Pharmacy provision within the School. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team and make a significant contribution to the leadership of teaching, learning, assessment, research and income generation.
Motivated and enthusiastic, the successful applicant will be a GPhC registered pharmacist who is a leading expert in either pharmacy practice or pharmacy education. Excellent leadership and mentoring skills, experience of working to the requirements of professional accreditation bodies (e.g. GPhC) and the ability to work in a team are essential for this position. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of high quality publications, evidence of leading teams and mentoring and an understanding of key quality and governance issues related to Pharmacy Practice.
