The Director of Strategic Planning & Performance reports to the Vice-President (Strategy & Planning) and leads the Strategy, Planning & Performance Unit. The Unit’s work is central to the successful implementation of City’s Vision & Strategy 2026 and includes integrated central, School and Professional Service planning; performance reporting; risk management; and business and market intelligence. City is seeking to recruit a high calibre individual to help shape the future of the institution, working closely with the President, Vice-President, Executive Team and Executive Committee.

The Director is responsible primarily for leading, developing and co-ordinating City’s strategic planning processes, including high level operational planning; risk management and monitoring; and reviewing and reporting performance and progress. Other key responsibilities include the provision of comprehensive management information; analytical, research and statistical services; and advice to support the implementation of Vision & Strategy 2026. 

The Director will possess exceptional strategic thinking skills; classic strategy consulting analytics; advanced interpersonal, communications and negotiation skills; and a passion for higher education.
