The SMART Infrastructure Facility, at the University of Wollongong, Australia, is a world class comprehensive research and teaching facility of integrated laboratories that addresses the way that infrastructure related disciplines are taught and researched. SMART is currently recruiting a Communications Manager to coordinate the promotion of SMART across digital platforms, undertake marketing and public relations activities and coordinate events and other activities to promote the Facility and its research outcomes. The role encompasses SMART website content management, publication and collateral development, event coordination and promotion including workshops, seminars and conferences. The role will also work collaboratively with the marketing unit of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences (EIS) as required.

The position will support the COO in the communications and marketing of SMART and will need to have relevant experience and preferably qualifications in journalism, marketing and communications, and experience writing for a number of different publications and electronic media.

This role will work collaboratively across the University and with SMART stakeholders including government agencies, businesses and research organisations.
