As the largest School in the University we have a broad provision of health professions related courses across Dietetics, Nursing, Midwifery, Occupational Therapy,Operating Department Practice, Paramedic and Physiotherapy all leading to professional registration. We also have a large portfolio of CPD courses at UG and PG levels.

Due to our continued success and growth the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health is looking to appoint an enthusiastic individual with a passion for work-based learning to lead on the development of a Foundation Degree Apprenticeship for Assistant Practitioners.Working with multi-professional teams within practice and the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health to create an innovative and flexible degree-apprenticeship model to meet the needs of employers.

Previous experience of teaching within a Higher Education Institution is desirable and your application should detail your area of clinical/teaching experience and expertise. You will have a good understanding of the role of Assistant Practitioners within the multi-professional clinical team and a strong commitment to working with employers, work-based staff, different professional groups and academic colleagues. You will need a high level of inter-personal skills and personal effectiveness to promote a high-quality experience for all of our students.

The University offers academic and professional development and provides a Post Graduate Certificate Teaching Qualification for individuals who do not hold a recognised teaching qualification. You will be supported to develop your interests in order to progress your career. Salary is dependent on experience.
