Role Description

Cranfield is an exclusively postgraduate university that is a global leader for education and transformational research in technology and management.  The University has c1500staff and c4.000 students, any of whom could visit or call upon the services of the Executive Office during the course of their work or study.

The academic activity of the University is supported by a wide range of professional serviceunits.

The function of the Executive Office is to support the Chief Executive and Vice-Chancellor in the leadership of the University, and provide coordinated support for the members of the Cranfield Executive in implementing the University’s current Corporate Plan (415i) and helping them to achieve the “One University” objective. The Executive Office comprises the Chief Executive and Vice-Chancellor, the Chief Operating Officer, the Pro-Vice-Chancellor – Education, the Pro-Vice Chancellor – Research and Innovation, Chief Executive for MK:U and the University Secretary and is supported by the team led by the Executive Assistant to the CEO and Vice-Chancellor.

The purpose of the Executive Support Assistant is to provide proactive and professional support to enable the Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Research & Innovation to deliver their objectives.

You will provide a professional, efficient and robust administrative service to the Executive Office, as directed by the Executive Assistant and the Executive Officer. You will be one of the first points of contact for the Executive suite.  As such, you will be proactive and have a positive attitude and a high standard of customer service skills; trusted to work calmly under pressure and prioritise urgent tasks.

You will be educated to A-Level standard or equivalent and have demonstrable experience of supporting the needs of Executive level staff members. Your IT skills and attention to details will be impeccable, as will your discretion, tact and confidentiality.
