Part time role (20 hours per week), fixed term for up to 9 months.

Salary is £21,414 to £24,029 per annum (pro rata (£11,574 to £12,987 per annum)

Location: York

Registry is responsible for academic and student administration at York St John University, and works closely with all academic schools and other departments. 

We are looking to recruit a Registry Adviser to work within the Assessment Team in Registry. The team supports all of the work within the university associated with assessments, awards and progressions. Specifically it is responsible for setting up assessment records, supporting assessment panels (SAPs) and boards of examiners (BEPA), examinations (including additional requirements), exceptional circumstances in relation to extensions and for ensuring that students’ progress through their undergraduate and postgraduate programmes of study in accordance with the regulations.

Reporting to the Registry Manager – Assessment you will have a broad range of administrative experience including dealing with enquiries and improving systems and processes.  As well as having attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills, you will be customer-focused with a commitment to ensuring an excellent service experience for students and staff.

This is a fixed term post (up to 9 months) covering a period of maternity leave.  The working hours are 20 per week and the work pattern is negotiable.
