An opportunity has arisen within the School of Nursing for a registered nurse (Child) to join our highly committed pre-registration child nursing team as a Senior Lecturer. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic and visionary and keen to shape nurse education.
Nursing and Trainee Nursing Associate programmes are delivered at a number of sites, including Preston, Burnley and Westlakes.
Applicants must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a First level Children's Nurse, have a higher degree or equivalent in a health related subject level, and have a teaching/mentorship qualification. A PhD /professional doctorate is desirable.
The successful candidates will have experience of both practice and academic assessment of students and have expert knowledge and understanding of contemporary Children's Nursing practice. They will have a keen interest in developments in the field, be committed to the success of nursing students and be able to show that they can effectively support learning and teaching in the classroom and in practice areas.
Experience of previous participation/ involvement in the research and development of projects is essential, as is evidence of advanced practice.
The successful applicant will assist in the development and delivery of the children's nursing programmes and research. There will be an expectation that the successful candidates will teach across a range of courses and will be able to act as module or course leader.
