As an academic member of both the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and the School of Psychology and Counselling, you will have a key role in keeping the OU in the forefront of supported distance higher education, particularly in designing and facilitating effective teaching of the School’s modules, qualifications and programmes. You will also be responsible for the selection, monitoring and staff development of part-time Associate Lecturers, who teach modules across 4 British Psychological Society (BPS) accredited undergraduate psychology qualifications, a counselling qualification, and 2 postgraduate qualifications.
You will hold, as a minimum requirement, a postgraduate degree (or equivalent) in Psychology, counselling/psychotherapy or a cognate area, and have relevant experience of online teaching and management of teaching, and of student support.
You will be based either at Milton Keynes or as a Designated Homeworker. This post is to support Psychology students and Associate Lecturers in England. Regular travel to Milton Keynes, and other locations in England, will be required throughout the contract period.
