About the position

This Teaching and Research Academic position is in the School of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences based at our Bendigo Campus. The School has a reputation for innovative course design and offers a range of general and specialist undergraduate and postgraduate courses that incorporates strong industry engagement.

A Level B academic will develop, coordinate and teach a high quality learning experience that engages students through tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations, workshops, student field excursions, clinical sessions and/or studio sessions. You will also conduct and publish high quality and/or high impact research and product conference/seminar papers and publications from that research.

In addition, a Level C academic will provide leadership and mentoring, play a significant role in research projects and obtain necessary research funding from contracts/grants/consultancies.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will possess a PhD or equivalent accreditation in a relevant discipline area, as well as a demonstrated research focus in areas such as environmental or water resources engineering and water treatment technologies.

You will have demonstrated competence in teaching and curriculum development, with the ability to supervise or co-supervise honours and postgraduate students. Strong record of research publications and the ability to participate or lead industry engagement is essential.
