The newly formed School of Health Sciences is part of a highly successful and vibrant faculty that is currently looking to invest in its paramedic provision. Frequently commended for our partnership working across the health and social care sector, the School delivers a range of undergraduate and post graduate programmes that lead to registration in paramedic science, nursing, midwifery, health visiting/school nursing, and speech and language therapy. We also have a wide portfolio of post qualifying provision including the MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice and the Faculty’s PhD in Health & Social Care programme. The School has a vibrant research culture contributing fully to the faculty’s ambitious and achievable long-term plan to build internationally leading research.

Due to a growth in student numbers, including degree apprenticeships, the School is looking to further expand its paramedic team. We are seeking an experienced paramedic who will have a commitment to maintaining and building the University’s excellence in teaching and learning at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. We welcome applications from experienced paramedics who are keen to develop their role as educators, having developed teaching and assessing skills through a mentorship/practice assessor role.

Successful applicants will have opportunity to complete a PGCHE and progress through our GOLD framework achieve HEA fellowship, as well as contribute to department based research and enterprise activities. Opportunity also exists to undertake doctoral studies through a professional doctorate or PhD programme. The University has an established career framework which offers opportunity for promotion through an annual application process.
