The Centre, led from the ANU Mount Stromlo facilities in Canberra by Professor Lisa Kewley, spans six (6) Australian universities, three (3) national infrastructure facilities, and seven (7) international partner institutions. ASTRO 3D is seeking an enthusiastic Chief Operations Officer (COO) to lead the administration and operations of the Centre.  The Chief Operations Officer plays a central leadership role in positioning ASTRO 3D as a recognised national and international leader in astronomy and astrophysics.

Working with a considerable degree of autonomy, the Chief Operations Officer is responsible for governance, operations and relationship management of ASTRO 3D, and ensures the Centre’s strategic objectives are met through the appropriate design, delivery and evaluation of research, training, and education/outreach programs. International partnership development, marketing and event management are also critical aspects of the role.
