Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine (Ref.: 494116), to commence as soon as possible, on a two- to three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Science, Cancer Research or related disciplines, with an excellent track record in cancer biology research. Those with experience in leukaemia research would have an advantage. Applicants should also be organized, self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team. The appointee will work in a well-established group, and is expected to perform high-impact research related to the pathogenesis of leukaemia and drug development. He/She will use various approaches to explore novel therapeutic targets with translational implications for acute myeloid leukaemia. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
