Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow (2 posts) in the Department of Surgery (Ref.: 494056), to commence as soon as possible for two to three years.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree, with proven experience and good publication record in the relevant area of developmental biology, stem cell biology and/or neuroscience. They should be self-motivated and able to conduct research independently. Experience in handling cell culture or transgenic mice is essential.  Experience in human pluripotent stem cell (hPSC), neuronal cell differentiation, flow cytometry, confocal imaging, electrophysiology and patch-clamp analysis will be an advantage.  The appointees will join a young and dynamic research group to study neurogenesis using human pluripotent stem cells and/or animal models.  Enquiries about the duties of the posts should be sent to Dr. Elly Ngan at engan@hku.hk.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
