Greenwich Learning and Teaching (GiLT) fosters learning and teaching excellence across the university by offering co-ordinated leadership and support of quality assurance and enhancement; a portfolio of development activity; and a forum for staff and student engagement with the learning and teaching agenda. The Administrative Assistant acts as first point of contact for GiLT and provides administrative support to the GiLT team.

The Administrative Assistant answers or directs queries under the supervision of the Administrator. You will provide administrative support to the team, for example booking rooms and taking notes for meetings, and handling orders for office supplies. You will act as programme administrator for the taught programmes offered by GiLT, managing student records and contributing to the compilation of programme documentation under the direction of the programme team. You will also provide administrative support to other core GiLT activities, for example maintaining the schedule of quality reviews and assisting the team in scheduling review events as required. You will undertake event administration duties such as handling bookings, preparing materials and collating feedback.

You will have experience of working in a diverse and busy office environment, including ‘first line’ administration e.g. reception or service desk duties. You will have excellent customer service, teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to manage a diverse workload and work effectively under pressure, with excellent attention to detail.
